How to Remove a Property from a Portfolio

TL;DR

Remove a property from a portfolio when it’s no longer relevant to the buyer. This keeps portfolios clean, focused, and aligned with active buyer intent—without deleting the property from PropWise entirely.

When to use this

Use this action when:

  • The property no longer fits budget, timing, or criteria
  • The listing is sold, off-market, or no longer viable
  • You want to reduce noise and keep client decision-making sharp
If a property is not a serious candidate, it should not stay in the portfolio.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Portfolio where the property is listed.
  2. Locate the **property **you want to remove.
  3. Click the three-dot menu on the property card or end of the row in the table view.
  4. Select Remove.
  5. Confirm the action when prompted.
✅ The property is removed from this portfolio only. ❌ The property is not deleted from PropWise and can be reused elsewhere if it was created manually.

Common issues & tips

  • “Did I delete the property?”

No. Removing a property only detaches it from the current portfolio. The property remains available in PropWise.

  • Client visibility

Once removed, the client will no longer see the property in their shared portfolio.

  • Audit discipline

If a property is removed due to rejection, consider adding a short private note before removal (e.g. “Rejected: poor light / no elevator”).

  • Performance tip

Smaller, tighter portfolios convert faster. Large portfolios increase cognitive load and slow decisions.
