How to Mark Properties as Interested or Rejected (Buyer)
TL;DR
Buyers can move a property out of Proposed into Interested or Rejected. This keeps the shortlist organized, helps the agent focus, and maintains a streamlined search process.
When to use this
Consider this workflow when a buyer is:
- Reviewing a new portfolio for the first time
- Narrowing down to a shortlist for viewings
- Cleaning out “maybe” listings to reduce noise
- Moving quickly through properties and needs a fast decision system
Step-by-step instructions
Option 1: Select from dropdown menu (Available only in table view)
- Open the portfolio.
- Locate the property under Proposed (default state for all properties).
- Click the dropdown menu and choose:
- Interested, or
- Rejected
- Confirm the card now appears in the correct section.
Option 2: Drag & Drop on the Property Row (Available only in table view)
- Open the portfolio.
- Locate the property under Proposed (default state for all properties).
- Drag the property card into:
- Interested, or
- Rejected
- Confirm the card now appears in the correct section.
Option 3: Change Status Inside a Listing (Available in both views)
- Open the portfolio.
- Click a property to open the individual listing view.
- In the top-left corner, locate the property status label (starts as Proposed).
- Change the label to Interested or Rejected.
Common issues & tips
- “I can’t find the property anymore.”
It may have been moved out of Proposed into Interested or Rejected—check those sections.
- Triage first, analyze later.
For a quick pass: drag everything that’s “no” into Rejected, anything “maybe/yes” into Interested. Then conduct a deeper review only on Interested.
- Accuracy check:
If a buyer mentions “I marked it interested” but nothing changed, suggest refreshing and confirming they moved the status label (not just scrolled).
- Team workflow hint:
Buyers should mark status; agents can use tags/notes for why (e.g., “needs parking”, “too dark”, “great layout”).
