How to Archive a Portfolio

TL;DR

Archiving a portfolio removes it from your active workspace once a buyer process is finished. This helps keep your dashboard clean and focused. Archiving is permanent for users, and only support can reverse it.

When to use this

Archive a portfolio when:

  • A buyer has completed their purchase
  • A search is permanently closed or abandoned
  • You want to remove inactive portfolios from your active view

We recommend not archiving if there’s any chance the buyer may return soon.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Go to the Portfolio Dashboard.
  2. Locate the portfolio you want to archive.
  3. Click the three-dot menu on the portfolio card.
  4. Select Archive.
  5. In the modal that opens, add the archiving details (reason or notes).
  6. Confirm the action.

The portfolio is now archived and removed from active portfolios.

Best for: Standard portfolio cleanup and closed deals

Common issues & tips

  • Archiving is irreversible (by users):

You cannot unarchive a portfolio yourself.

  • Archived by mistake or buyer returned?

Contact PropWise Support and we can unarchive it for you.

  • Best practice:

Add clear notes in the archive modal (e.g. Deal closed, Buyer paused search, No longer active) for future reference.

  • Risk management tip:

If a buyer is “on hold” rather than fully closed, consider keeping the portfolio active instead of archiving.
