How to Add Your First Property to a Portfolio?

TL;DR

You can add properties to a PropWise portfolio either by manually creating a listing or by importing listings from URLs. These two options cover the majority of day-to-day agent workflows—off-market deals and fast imports from property portals.

When to use this

Use this when:

  • You’ve created a portfolio and need to add properties to it
  • You’re working with off-market or private listings
  • You want to quickly import listings from real estate portals

Step-by-step instructions

Open the portfolio you want to add properties to and choose one of the options below. You can use both methods within the same portfolio.

Option 1 — Manual Entry (Best for off-market or exclusive listings)

  1. Open your portfolio.
  2. Click + Create Listing.
  3. Enter the property details:
  • Address
  • Price
  • Property description
  • Key characteristics (property type, bedrooms, bathrooms, size, features)
  1. Upload photos or other media.
  2. Save the listing.

Best for: Off-market properties, private deals, or listings where you want full control over the description and presentation.

Option 2 — Import from URL (Best for speed)

  1. Open your portfolio.
  2. Click Import Listing.
  3. Select From URL.
  4. Paste one or multiple listing links from property portals or real estate websites. (note: Each URL has to be in a new row.)
  5. Confirm the import.

PropWise automatically extracts the available property data, saving you time on manual entry.

**Best for: **Quickly building portfolios from online listings and reducing repetitive data entry.

Common issues & tips

  • Always review imported listings

Auto-extracted data may need light editing (price formatting, descriptions, or photos).

  • Mix methods freely

A single portfolio can include both manually created and URL-imported listings.

  • Quality over quantity

Fewer, well-matched properties usually convert better than large unfiltered lists.

  • Buyer alignment check

After adding properties, verify they match the buyer’s budget, location, and priorities.
