How Buyers Leave Feedback on Properties

TL;DR

Buyers can provide clear, structured feedback in two ways: Set the property status to Interested or Rejected, or leave comments in the property chat. This keeps decisions explicit, searchable, and eliminates messy WhatsApp/email threads.

When to use this

  • After reviewing a new property in a shared portfolio
  • When narrowing down options before scheduling viewings
  • When rejecting properties to avoid revisiting them later
  • When clarifying why a property is (or isn’t) a fit

Step-by-step instructions

Option 1: Change Property Status (Best for fast decisions)

  1. Open the shared portfolio.
  2. Click on a property to open its details.
  3. Set the status to one of the following:
  • Interested → The buyer wants to explore this further.
  • Rejected → The buyer is no longer interested in this property.
  1. The status updates instantly and is visible to the agent.

Why this matters:

Status is the fastest signal. It tells the agent exactly where the buyer stands—no interpretation required.

Option 2: Use Property Chat (Best for nuanced feedback)

  1. Open the property details page.
  2. Scroll to the Chat section.
  3. Write a comment such as:
  • Concerns (price, layout, location, renovation needs)
  • Likes (light, terrace, neighborhood, potential)
  • Questions for the agent
  1. Send the message.

Why this matters:

Chat captures context. Status says what, chat explains why.

Common issues & tips

  • “I forgot to explain why I rejected it.”

→ We recommend using chat alongside status changes. Rejections without reasons can slow the agent down.

  • “I just commented but didn’t change the status.”

→ For the best experience, always pair comments with a status update.

  • “I don’t want to hurt the seller’s feelings.”

→ Feedback is private between buyer and agent. Sellers never see it.

  • Accuracy check:
  • Interested ≠ booking a viewing
  • Rejected = remove from active consideration
  • Performance tip:

Clear buyer feedback reduces back-and-forth and speeds up shortlisting dramatically.
