How to Share a Portfolio with My Client
TL;DR
Share a portfolio in one click. Your client gets secure access via email, can review properties and give feedback, while your private notes and seller details stay hidden.
When to use this
Use this when you’re ready to:
- Present a curated set of properties to a buyer
- Collect structured client feedback (likes, dislikes, questions)
- Collaborate without sending PDFs, links, or WhatsApp screenshots
- Maintain professional boundaries between buyer-facing and internal notes
If you’re about to schedule viewings or narrow down options, this is the moment.
Step-by-step instructions
Option 1 — Share via the Share button (When you first time share or Adding additional buyers)
- Open the portfolio you want to share.
- Click the Share button inside the portfolio.
- Confirm the client’s email address.
- PropWise automatically sends an email with secure access instructions.
That’s it. No manual setup, no attachments.
Option 2 — Re-share or resend access (Best for follow-ups or lost emails)
- Open the shared portfolio.
- Click Shared link below Prepared for.
- This copies URL to portfolio which you email.
- Send access again.
Useful when clients miss the first email or switch inboxes.
What your client can see
Your client can:
- View all curated properties in the portfolio
- Open property details and attached documents
- Compare options
- Leave feedback and comments
Your client cannot see:
- Your private notes
- Seller or seller agent details
- Internal comments meant for your team
This separation is intentional. It protects your negotiation position and keeps communication clean.
Common issues & tips
- Client didn’t receive the email
→ Ask them to check spam or resend via the Share button.
- Multiple clients on one portfolio
→ Only share with confirmed decision-makers to avoid feedback chaos.
- Accuracy check
→ Always review the portfolio as if you were the buyer before sharing. What feels obvious to you may not be obvious to them.
- Performance tip
→ Fewer, better-curated properties lead to faster decisions. Sharing 30 listings slows buyers down.
